Welcome to Viking Virtual Services, established in 1997 and based in Mandurah, Western Australia. My name is Donna Eliassen and I am a Virtual Assistant.
A Virtual Assistant (VA) is a professional who provides a variety of administrative, business, and entrepreneurial support services to clients, anywhere in the world, via the internet.
Some VA's, like myself, are ex professional corporate Personal Assistants, Executive Secretaries and Administrators who bring to our businesses over 25 years of real-world experience. Now, working from home offices, we use the internet, email, phone and fax to support our clients worldwide.
Many of us work in 'niches' - so as with other things in life, one size does not fit all when it comes to hiring a Virtual Assistant. (And you should shop around.)
In a nutshell, in addition to offering the "traditional" secretarial type services, my niches are:
Clients who typically use my services include Life and Business Coaches, Coaching Schools and institutions, Entrepreneurs, Online Marketers, Speakers, Seminar Leaders, Writers and Web Designers. 
BENEFITS OF USING A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT
VA's are independent contractors - not "employees".
As such, you do not incur the usual employee related expenses such as employee tax, superannuation, workers compensation, sick pay, public holidays, holidays, overtime or training, (and dare I say, time wasted by the water cooler!)
In addition, you save on "hidden" employee costs, such as: office space, furniture, equipment and general office supplies, extra electricity,insurances and general overheads.
BEST OF ALL- YOU ONLY PAY FOR THE TIME WE ACTUALLY WORK!
When you hire a Temp, you have to pay X number of hours whether you can utilize them for that length of time or not. What a waste of money! And they are only available during your business hours.
With a VA, you pay ONLY for the amount of time it takes to do the job. You don't waste money. Why pay for a full or half day when you only need one or two hour's worth of work to be completed? Furthermore, we will work nights and weekends for you to accomplish urgent requests.
